Adeline Andrea du Celliée Muller’s photograph captures the intricate relief on the Borobudur. I imagine her, camera in hand, circling the ancient monument, searching for the right angle, the perfect play of light and shadow to reveal the story etched in stone. The way the figures are arranged, almost like a snapshot of daily life, is super interesting. You’ve got folks gathered, some seated, others standing, maybe in conversation, maybe in contemplation, who knows? I almost want to see a modern-day version of the same subject matter. It's like she’s not just documenting, but also interpreting, making a statement about time and history, connecting her vision with the artistry of the past. I think it's pretty cool how artists are always building on what came before, seeing through each other’s eyes, and adding their own spin to the mix.
