Vasile Kazar made "Window Towards Insomnia (5)" with a pen, creating a landscape of the mind. The drawing is a delicate dance of line and ink. I see a world of sleepless thoughts, scribbled and scratched onto the page. Imagine Kazar, pen in hand, the nib scratching, coaxing these images from the depths of his insomnia. Are these dreams, or anxieties, or perhaps a bit of both? There's a real tension between what's revealed and what’s hidden. It reminds me of Cy Twombly’s restless mark-making. It's like Kazar's inviting us to piece together the puzzle of his inner world. I think that, like many artists, Kazar is showing us that art can transform the dark night of the soul into something beautiful and profound.
