Biography
Virgilius Solis the Elder was a German Renaissance artist who is known for his woodcuts. He was a master of the technique and his work often featured detailed depictions of mythological creatures, historical figures, and allegorical scenes. He also made engravings and worked as an illustrator. He created work for books such as Aesop's Fables.
