Vincard

Vincard is an anonymous artist who created a medal commemorating the victory of Napoleon Bonaparte at the Battle of Austerlitz. The medal is hexagonal in shape with a raised rim. The obverse shows a profile of Napoleon with the inscription "Napoleon Empereur". The reverse of the medal features an inscription detailing the date and location of the battle: "Bataille d'Austerlitz 2 Decembre 1805. A.M. 6. 1/2. I.SHUME Aux Invalides 2 Decembre 1805". This medal exemplifies the importance of the victory at Austerlitz in Napoleon's campaign and is a significant example of Napoleonic medallic art.
