Taniguchi Aizan (1816-1899) was a Japanese artist known for his ink paintings. He specialized in the genre of "bunjinga", a literati art movement emphasizing brushwork and poetic subject matter. Aizan’s works, such as his delicate brushstrokes, and subtle washes of ink, often depict landscapes with a serene and contemplative feel. He is known for his fan paintings, which feature minimalist depictions of nature, frequently incorporating elements of Chinese landscape tradition.
