Nicolaus Alexander Mair, a German artist, worked in the 16th century. Though his exact birth and death dates are unknown, he is known for his woodcuts and engravings. He is considered a follower of Albrecht Dürer. Mair's printmaking style uses strong lines, contrasts in light and dark areas, and intricate details in the architectural background.
