Biography
Honoré Daumier (February 26, 1808 – February 10, 1879) was a French artist known for his caricatures, lithographs and paintings. Daumier's works are often satirical and critical of social injustices, especially those of the French government. He was a master of caricature and used exaggeration and humor to expose the absurdity of the ruling class. His works often featured exaggerated features and expressions, creating a powerful commentary on the social and political landscape of his time. His work included depictions of ordinary people and everyday life, and he was one of the first artists to capture the struggles of the working class.
