Daniel Maclise (1805-1870) was a renowned Irish artist best known for his historical paintings and portraits. His works often depicted scenes from Irish folklore, literature, and history, such as the iconic "The Meeting of Wellington and Blucher at Waterloo" and "The Marriage of Strongbow and Aoife."
