Biography
Bengt Richter was a Swedish medalist born in Stockholm in 1670 and died in Vienna on April 18, 1735. Richter was known for his highly detailed and realistic medallions, often depicting historical figures or events. His work is characterized by a meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the rendering of drapery, hairstyles, and facial expressions. His medallions are often considered to be among the finest examples of Baroque medallic art, showcasing his mastery of the medium.
