Peter Blake made this artwork titled 3675 with mixed media. What I love about this piece is the sense of looking back in time, and forward. The artist uses a vintage nude photograph as a base, then he’s drawn over it with colorful patterns – I see gold, green, and red. It reminds me of those moments when you find an old photo and start imagining the person's story. I can imagine Blake thinking about the woman in the photograph, wondering about her life, her dreams. He honors her while updating her with his art. It makes me think about how artists are always remixing the past, creating something new out of what came before. It's like we're all in conversation, across time.
