Editor: Here we have "A Mountain Gorge with a River" by Frances Scott. I’m immediately struck by how the monochromatic wash gives such a dramatic, almost theatrical feel to the scene. What draws your eye when you look at this? Curator: It's funny, I see a stage too! The gorge is like a proscenium, framing the river's performance. Scott's really playing with light and shadow, isn't she? Makes you wonder what dramas those rocks have witnessed, doesn't it? Editor: Absolutely, the layers of shadows hint at hidden stories. It’s like the landscape itself is a character. Curator: Precisely! Maybe that’s why it feels so alive. I'll never see nature the same way!
