Editor: This is a coin of Agathokles, Tyrant of Syracuse. It's undated, but clearly ancient, and made of some kind of metal. It looks so weathered, like a tangible piece of history. What do you make of it? Curator: For me, it’s a pocket-sized portal! I imagine the hands that clutched it, the market stalls it bought passage through. The slightly rough surface hints at a life well-circulated. It’s a tangible link to a world both familiar and impossibly distant, don’t you think? Editor: That's lovely, I hadn't thought of it that way. Thanks for sharing! Curator: My pleasure! Perhaps we should all carry a coin to remind us of the past.
