This clear glass jug, produced by Pauly and Company in Venice between 1855 and 1875, is a prime example of Venetian glassblowing. The jug features a bulbous body with a decorative, ribbed surface, accented with a delicate, geometric pattern of blue and green glass dots. The elegant, slender handle adds to the graceful design of the piece. The jug is currently housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
