The Fragile 2007

Louise Bourgeois created ‘The Fragile’, a work with an unknown date, using blue ink on fabric. Bourgeois’s work often explores themes of childhood trauma, sexuality, and the body. It’s impossible to look at this piece without considering her complex relationship with her parents. The indigo-colored figure evokes a sense of vulnerability and emotional exposure.
