This small photograph of a screen and sculpture was made by Elsa Silberstein at an unknown date, it’s part of an album. I love how Silberstein captures the interplay of light and shadow. I imagine her carefully composing the shot, moving around the room until she found the perfect angle. You know, sometimes the best art comes from these quiet moments of observation, when you’re just taking it all in and trying to make sense of what you see. The screen itself is so intricate, with all these little details and patterns. It almost feels like a secret language. And then you have the sculpture, which adds another layer of depth to the image. I wonder what Silberstein was thinking when she put these two objects together? Artists are always in conversation, aren’t they? Sharing ideas, inspiring each other. And it's all there in the photograph. The screen, the sculpture, the light, the shadow—it all comes together to create something that’s more than the sum of its parts.
