"Voorzichtigheid, Arbeid en Overvloed voor een tuin" (Caution, Labor, and Abundance for a Garden) is an etching by Dutch artist Jan Goeree, created in 1696. The intricate composition features three female figures representing the themes of caution, labor, and abundance, set against a backdrop of a formal garden. The central figure, representing labor, kneels and holds a trowel, surrounded by gardening tools, while the figures on either side offer symbolic gestures. The overall composition is both visually arresting and a commentary on the importance of horticultural practice. This etching, now in the Rijksmuseum, exemplifies Goeree's meticulous detail and his engagement with contemporary Dutch artistic trends.
