"Rejsedagbog" is a small leather-bound journal created by the Danish artist Johan Thomas Lundbye in 1845. This handwritten travel journal contains detailed accounts of Lundbye's travels through Denmark and Europe. The journal, now housed at the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst, is a unique glimpse into the daily life and artistic practices of the young, promising painter who tragically died in 1848. The journal, measuring 161 mm in height, 103 mm in width, and 11 mm in depth, is a testament to Lundbye's meticulous attention to detail, as evidenced by the neat, flowing script of his entries.
