This 1782 etching by Dutch artist Theodoor Koning, titled “Timpaan van de rechtbank te Westzaan”, depicts a detailed architectural design. The image showcases the ornate tympanum, a triangular space above the entrance of a building. This design features a coat of arms, which would have likely been placed above the entrance of a courthouse in Westzaan. The inscription at the bottom notes that these drawings were made "with due respect" for the "Honorable Lords, the Burgomaster and Aldermen of Westzaan." The artwork is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum, a national museum dedicated to Dutch art and history.
