This small silver medal, created by Franz Detler in 1815, commemorates the Allied victory over Napoleon Bonaparte at the Battle of Waterloo. The obverse features a winged female figure, representing Victory, standing on a serpent, crushing a crown with her foot, and holding a spear with a banner. The reverse displays a wreath of wheat surrounding the inscription “VICTORIA GAVIO DIGNA PLAUSITIS MDCCCLXV” ("Victory worthy of praise"). This medal is a powerful symbol of the Allied triumph over Napoleon and the end of his reign.
