Untitled (man in front of shelves of products) 1952
Dimensions 12.7 x 10.16 cm (5 x 4 in.)
Curator: This image, an untitled piece by Peter James Studio, it's like stepping into a memory, isn't it? The world rendered in shades of grey, a man amidst shelves stocked with…well, what exactly IS "Lushus"? Editor: It’s kind of eerie, yet comforting. What strikes you most about the composition? Curator: The repetition, definitely. Rows upon rows of product. It speaks to abundance, perhaps, or maybe the illusion of it. I wonder what story he was trying to tell by having us look at these products in the store? Editor: That's an interesting point. I hadn't considered the social commentary. Thanks!
