"Whispering Zephyr" is a marble relief sculpture created by American artist Thomas Ball between 1881 and 1885. The artwork depicts two figures, a woman and a young child, their faces turned towards each other in a tender embrace. The woman's gentle touch and the child's peaceful slumber convey a sense of quiet intimacy, while the delicate, flowing lines of the sculpture evoke the soft caress of a gentle breeze. This beautiful work is on display at The Art Institute of Chicago.
