"Zie hier, ô jeugd! met lust, de koordendansery" (See here, oh youth! with pleasure, the rope dancing) is a broadside created by Johan Noman sometime between 1806 and 1830, and is now part of the Rijksmuseum collection. The image is a series of 12 scenes of rope dancers, tightrope walkers, and other performers, with each scene having a caption in Dutch. The scenes are depicted with a simple, almost childlike style, possibly meant to appeal to a broad audience, while also serving as advertisements for Noman's work. The broadside demonstrates the vibrant street culture and performance art of the early 19th century in the Netherlands.
