Johannes Molzahn made this untitled print with etching, I guess, allowing for happy accidents and the charm of the unexpected. The density of lines creates a real sense of texture. It's not just about what the image depicts, but how it feels – almost like you could run your fingers over it and feel the raised ink. See how the lines vary in thickness and direction, building up areas of dark and light that seem to shift and shimmer before your eyes? And those cross-hatchings in the upper left, where tiny marks come together to form something greater. It reminds me a little of Klee, but with a harder edge, a bit more…industrial. Ultimately, it's about the process, that constant back-and-forth between intention and chance, control and release, a dance that never really ends.
