"Roeiboten" (Rowboats), created between 1778 and 1838 by Dutch artist Anthonie van den Bos (1763 - 1838), is a black and white etching depicting a scene of boat construction. Three rowboats are partially submerged on the banks of a waterway while two figures work nearby. The composition depicts a landscape view with a village in the distance, characterized by detailed linework and a light and airy feel. The artwork is currently held in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
