Editor: So, the robot isn't necessarily presented as a positive advancement? Curator: Paolozzi often explored the psychological impact of technology. Does this image evoke a sense of progress or a fear of obsolescence and control? The answer, I think, lies in the tension between these two forms. Editor: I see now; it’s more about the complex relationship, rather than a simple good or bad. Curator: Precisely. Paolozzi invites us to question our place within an increasingly mechanized world.
