"Landschap met een toren aan zee" (Landscape with a Tower by the Sea) is an etching by David Custos created between 1624 and 1629. The print depicts a coastal scene with a prominent tower on a cliff overlooking the sea. The composition is balanced with a large tree on the right and a group of ships anchored in the harbor on the left. The Dutch Golden Age was a time of great maritime trade, and this etching reflects this interest in the Dutch landscape, with ships and a coastal tower, a popular subject matter of the time. The work is currently on display at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
