Seong Moy made this print called The Bathers with lithography, where the mark-making feels really spontaneous, almost like doodling. Look at how the different colors interact: the olive green, that vibrant yellow, and the stark black all layered together. It's a playful yet sophisticated combo. Moy isn't trying to hide the process; you can see where one color ends and another begins. There’s this lovely blobby quality to the shapes, like the big green form in the background – it’s soft and organic, providing a backdrop for the more angular lines and figures in the foreground. The lines are also full of movement, dancing and intertwining to create a sense of energy and life. This print reminds me of Joan Miró, with its whimsical figures and abstract forms. It's a reminder that art is always in conversation with itself, borrowing, and remixing ideas across generations.
