Seong Moy made this print titled, 'The Bathers' using graphic ink on paper. I love how the black lines dance and loop, forming figures that are almost there, almost not. It reminds me of when I'm sketching and letting the pen wander, trying to find a form in the chaos. You can tell that Seong Moy had fun here, right? The shapes feel playful, almost like he's improvising a visual poem. I can imagine him in the studio, experimenting with mark-making, layering colors, and seeing what happens. The gray and yellow color palette feels both calming and energetic, giving the scene a dreamlike quality. It's like a secret world where shapes and figures come together in unexpected ways. It makes me want to pick up my brushes and start painting, to dive into that space of exploration and discovery, where the unexpected can happen, and new forms can emerge.
