This small, circular bronze medal depicts a scene from the Siege of Ostend, which took place in 1601-1604. The inscription around the perimeter of the medal reads “Allegorische waarschuwing tegen de amnestie, door Albrecht van Oostenrijk afgekondigd tijdens het beleg van Oostende,” which translates to "Allegorical warning against the amnesty announced by Albrecht of Austria during the siege of Ostend." The medal was created by an anonymous artist and is held in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
