Virtual Vegas 2017

Beeple's vision of Virtual Vegas shimmers with neon light and a digital checkerboard haze. I can imagine him, eyes glued to the screen, building up this scene, pixel by pixel, form by form, bathed in the glow of the monitor. The colours! They pulse with a synthetic energy. It's not the real Vegas but something else entirely: a dream, a mirage, a glitch in the system. The whole image hums with a kind of electric tension, as if the buildings are about to dematerialize. Look at how the light bounces off the surfaces, creating these sharp, angular reflections. Beeple makes you feel the fake-ness. Maybe that’s the point. Like, what is real and what is Memorex? It makes me think about how we use technology to create these hyperreal experiences. Ultimately, I see this digital rendering as part of a larger conversation about simulation, reality, and the future of our visual landscape. Each generation's trying to make something new with the old.
