Franz Edmund Weirotter's 1760 etching *Reizigers rustend aan het water* (Travelers resting by the water) depicts a group of weary travelers taking a break in a wooded area. The composition, a classic example of 18th-century Dutch landscape art, features a large tree dominating the left side of the image, framing a group of figures resting and drinking from a stream.
