Editor: Here we have an untitled print by John Walker. It's a deeply textural piece, almost monochromatic, dominated by dark greens and blacks. It feels very somber and a little mysterious. What do you make of it? Curator: It is like peering into a darkened mirror reflecting a dreamscape, isn’t it? The floating forms suggest a hidden narrative. Walker often plays with the edge between abstraction and figuration, leaving us to complete the story. Editor: So, you see those shapes as almost representational? Curator: Perhaps. Or perhaps they are remnants of something remembered, like echoes in a cave. Walker wants us to feel our way through this, doesn't he? Editor: It really does invite contemplation. I feel I could get lost in its depths. Curator: Exactly! And isn't that the most marvelous kind of art?
