Inwendig Volle Figur 2006

Anish Kapoor made this sculpture, Inwendig Volle Figur, and I can only imagine the labor. That red is intense, right? It's not just a color, it's a whole mood. It sucks you in, and then bam, there's this void staring back at you. I bet Kapoor was thinking about our insides when he made this. I imagine him, wrestling with the material, trying to get that perfect curve, that flawless surface. It's like he's trying to capture something that's both solid and ethereal, heavy and weightless. There is something so simple but satisfying about the object that I keep returning to it. Like a Cy Twombly painting, it keeps you thinking, it keeps you looking.
