This white teapot, made in the Staffordshire Potteries in the 1750s, is a fine example of English earthenware. The teapot is decorated with molded grape vines and has a unique spout shaped like a bird's head. The teapot's white glaze and intricate molded design are characteristic of the popular “creamware” style, which emerged in England in the mid-18th century. The teapot's elegant form and delicate decoration make it a testament to the skill and artistry of the Staffordshire potters. This teapot is currently housed at The Art Institute of Chicago.
