"Tongs" is a piece of silverware created by Paul Revere, a prominent figure of the American Revolution, between 1807 and 1810. This simple, yet elegant, silver piece features a distinctive design on the handles, making it a fine example of Revere's craftsmanship beyond his more famous silversmithing works, like the Revere Bowl. Currently housed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this piece offers insight into the domestic life and artistic skill of one of America's founding heroes.
