This clock drawing, made at an unknown time by an anonymous artist, gives us a glimpse into a world of precision and craft. The delicate lines, the clean shapes, it's all about process, about getting it just right. Look at the eagle perched atop that pendulum, its wings spread wide. You can almost feel the weight of the ink, the artist's hand moving slowly, deliberately across the page. It reminds me of Sol LeWitt’s wall drawings, those endless lines and grids. There’s something obsessive about that repetition, a search for order in the chaos. And that's what art is, isn't it? A way of making sense of the world, one line, one color, one tick at a time. Like an ongoing conversation, passing through different hands and voices. Always evolving, always asking questions, without ever settling on one answer.
