"Muldyr belæsset med tynde træstammer og fulgt af driveren" (1845) by Johan Thomas Lundbye (1818-1848) is a pen and ink and watercolor drawing depicting a man leading a donkey loaded with thin tree trunks. The donkey is walking to the right, and the man, dressed in a blue scarf and hat, is pushing the logs with his hands. This intimate detail of daily life was a common theme in Lundbye's work, reflecting his interest in capturing the mundane realities of Danish peasant life. The drawing's muted colors and realistic style are characteristic of Lundbye's oeuvre. The work is currently housed in the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen.
