Does it strike you as playful, serious, or perhaps a little of both? Editor: I’d say a bit of both. The forms are playful, like a child's drawing, but the starkness also hints at something more serious, maybe existential? Curator: Exactly. Mumprecht often explored the tension between the rational and irrational, the conscious and unconscious. The vertical stacking of forms suggests a reaching upward, perhaps towards enlightenment or understanding. Does the composition evoke any particular emotions or sensations in you? It feels kind of weightless to me, in a way, but also very grounded... paradoxical, I know. Editor: I see the upward movement you're describing. It feels like a quest for balance. Perhaps it is this search itself which makes the piece both weightless and heavy, hopeful and serious, as if to accept paradox itself. Curator: I like that – accepting paradox.
