"December" is a hand-colored etching by British artist Robert Dighton, created in the late 18th century. The artwork depicts a woman in a drawing room setting, seated by a table with a book and playing cards. The image captures the leisure activities of the upper classes in the late 18th century, with candles providing light and a cat resting on the floor. Dighton's work is known for its satirical and humorous depictions of contemporary society. "December" is currently in the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
