This is a small, rectangular, navy blue leather case with a tiny brass clasp, made by Joseph Resehl Fü. It's got this delicate, almost regal quality to it. I imagine Fü carefully selecting the leather, ensuring it's smooth and supple to the touch. I bet he spent hours meticulously crafting the box, getting that precise shape and perfect fit. The gold lettering and emblem—a crown hovering over two interlocked circles—add to the sense of importance. Maybe it was commissioned for a special occasion, a token of appreciation, or a symbol of power? I wonder what it held, tucked away inside. Some precious memento? A glittering jewel? The box feels like a time capsule, a silent witness to secrets and stories from long ago. As artists we're all in conversation with those who came before us, each of us contributing our own unique mark. What will we leave behind? It's a beautiful question.
