Amor vraagt aan Venus de boog 1617

"Amor vraagt aan Venus de boog" (Love Asks Venus for the Bow), a 1617 etching by Italian artist Odoardo Fialetti, depicts a scene of classical mythology. Cupid, the Roman god of desire, kneels before Venus, the Roman goddess of love, and begs her for her bow. Venus is seated in a landscape setting with a draping cloth behind her. Fialetti's etching is a small work, at 175 mm high and 91 mm wide, and can be found in the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
