This is a 17th-century Dutch copper coin created by an anonymous artist. The coin depicts a lobster, the coat of arms of the Dutch province of Holland, and the inscription “Oostende” and “Rekenpenning van de Rekenkamer van Brabant” on the front and back. The coin was likely a commemorative coin issued to commemorate the Dutch capture of the city of Ostend in 1604 during the Eighty Years' War. The coin is part of the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
