Editor: Here we have an untitled photograph by Jack Gould of a man looking at a jewelry display. The stark black and white gives it such a detached, almost ghostly feel. What do you make of it? Curator: It’s as though the photographer has captured a moment of longing frozen in time. I see the man, almost transparent against the city backdrop, seemingly absorbed by the glittering promise within the glass. It reminds me of a silent film, a wistful narrative unfolding in a single frame. Makes you wonder what he's dreaming of, doesn't it? Editor: It does! I was so caught up in the eerie mood, I didn’t think about a story. Thanks!
