This silver medal, created by Johan George Holtzhey in 1800, commemorates the 50th anniversary of Jan Adriaan van Eyk's factory for the production of resin, turpentine, sulfur, and glue. The front side features a depiction of the factory, symbolized by three barrels and two pine trees, while the back side displays a celebratory inscription in Dutch, highlighting the factory's success and thanking God for his blessing. This small-scale, yet historically significant piece of art, is part of the Rijksmuseum collection and provides insight into the industrial landscape of the Netherlands at the turn of the 19th century.
