The Dutch Yacht

Curatorial notes
Editor: This is "The Dutch Yacht" by Marie Alexandre Duparc. It’s an etching, so it feels very detailed and precise, but also kind of ominous with that stormy sky. What do you see in it? Curator: I love how Duparc captures the light. It’s almost theatrical, isn't it? Like a stage set! The yacht isn't merely a boat but a character, almost as if its mood reflects the turbulent sky. Editor: A character? That's interesting. It does have a certain presence. Curator: Absolutely. It makes me wonder what story Duparc is trying to tell. A journey? A storm weathered? Editor: I hadn't thought of it that way, but it definitely gives a lot to think about!
