"Nordbosagnene. Om grønlændernes første sammentræf med de gamle nordboer: Høvdingen Oungortok kaster sin søn i en indsø, da han forfælges af Kasape" is a woodcut by Greenlandic artist Aron fra Kangeq, created between 1858 and 1860. The artwork depicts a dramatic scene from Greenlandic mythology, where a chieftain named Oungortok throws his son into a lake to escape the wrath of the mythical creature Kasape. This scene is a powerful representation of the Greenlandic cultural heritage and is an excellent example of Aron fra Kangeq's skill as a visual storyteller.
