"Engel en kind met kompas" (Angel and Child with Compass) is an etching by Boëtius Adamsz. Bolswert, created between 1590 and 1624. This small-scale artwork depicts an angel holding a compass and pointing to a child on the ground who is looking at the instrument. The image is rendered in detail with a focus on the figures, their gestures, and the light emanating from the angel. This artwork is a fine example of the Baroque style in printmaking, with its dramatic lighting and expressive poses, and is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum.
