Rynders, titled "Hier vind de teedre jeugd natuurelyk het leven / Dan den verlooren zoon / in het hout beschreven," depicts four scenes from the parable of the Prodigal Son, a story about a lost son who repents and is welcomed back by his father. The scenes show the son leaving home, the son spending his inheritance, the son returning, and the son being forgiven. The work is a fine example of the printmaking technique used by Rynders, with its intricate details and bold colors. The artwork is currently housed at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
