Aldemir Martins made this print, Flores e Frutas, with vibrant colors. I'm imagining him in his studio, pushing around shapes and colours, lost in the process. The orange background feels like a warm hug. Those confident strokes of red, yellow, and blue—they're like little explosions of energy. There's a real sense of playfulness here, a freedom in the way the forms are defined. You can see the influence of Matisse in those bold, simple shapes, but Martins brings his own Brazilian flair to it. I love how he uses color to create depth and texture. Those blacks feel grounded and contrast with the vibrant fruit. The whole thing feels alive, like a celebration of color and form.
