"Zittende man, mogelijk een schaapherder" (Seated Man, Possibly a Shepherd) is a pencil sketch by Dutch artist Willem Witsen, dating from circa 1884–1887. The sketch, currently housed at the Rijksmuseum, captures the artist's interest in portraying the lives of everyday people. The figure, possibly a shepherd, is depicted in a relaxed pose, with the artist's characteristic loose and expressive lines. Witsen's preference for sketching figures in natural settings is evident in the loose, gestural lines that capture the form and movement of the subject.
