Wet op het lager onderwijs aangenomen 1857

"Wet op het lager onderwijs aangenomen" is a silver medal created in 1857 by Dutch medalist Moses de Vries. The obverse of the medal features a personified figure of the Netherlands holding a scepter and laurel wreath while being flanked by allegorical figures of Justice and Prudence. The reverse features the inscription describing the law adopted regarding primary education.
